FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I actually signed up for what I thought was a trauma prayer. I had suffered the death of my fiancee, Josh, 15+ years ago, and had done everything I could think of to try to heal; counseling, prayer sessions, etc. Despite all I tried, and all the time that had passed, I would still find myself very triggered by certain songs, movies, dreams or memories. My husband, Zach, has always been incredibly understanding, loving and would talk through my triggers with me, but I didn't enjoy feeling like my marriage was being impacted by something that had happened so long ago.
After hearing about a woman who came highly recommended for trauma prayer, I signed up. I didn't have much expectation because I'd felt I'd done it all, but I wanted to try anyway. It turns out, it was actually an Emotion Code session. It's really hard to explain what happened, it's just something you have to experience for yourself, but the session she did with me made a huge impact on me. I learned that even though I had processed through a lot, the trauma of his death and the difficult emotions I experienced were essentially stuck in my body (The Emotion Code book by Dr. Bradley Nelson explains more of how this happens). Her session essentially removed the emotional charge that I still experienced around things that had once been significant triggers.
I was so impacted by the session that I wanted to learn how to help people by becoming a practitioner myself!
***Did that one session completely clear all trauma associated with my Josh's passing? No. It's been a process. Big events or chronic, long-term issues can take longer. But, one session was enough for me to experience some much needed relief and freedom and gave me the hope I needed to continue on my healing journey.
When I discovered the deeper levels of freedom and healing available through The Body Code, I didn't hesitate to sign up!
Muscle testing has been used by doctors since the 1940's, and is one of the best ways to get answers from the subconscious mind. It is a form of bio-feedback that does not require any high-tech machine or computer. The principle behind muscle testing is that muscles become weak in a state of incongruence or falsehood, making resistance difficult. Conversely, muscles remain strong and able to resist when in a state of congruence/truth. Muscle testing allows us to access important information about our bodies and our health (or blocks to health), we just have to know what questions to ask, apply the resistance to a muscle, and then discern a Yes (True) response from a No (False) response. This takes some practice, but eventually becomes something very easy to sense. I first experienced muscle testing at a chiropractor's office a few years ago. He would ask me questions out loud, but instead of verbally responding, he would check my body for weak or strong responses by pressing down on my arm in a specific way (Dr. Bradley Nelson describes this as the Basic Arm Test). Through muscle testing, we discovered all sorts of things about my body, including specific things I was allergic to or supplements my body needed. All things exhibit an energy field. I realize that can sound a little woo-woo, but scientists have developed instruments that can photograph and measure the radiating energy fields that surround us. Our thoughts and emotions are also energy, and can be felt by others. Our subconscious minds are like ultra-intelligent computers (that govern our metabolic processes, immune processes, etc) and are also capable of continually detecting the vibrations of others. Whether in person or over zoom, with the client's permission, I am able to ask their subconscious mind specific questions and muscle test myself to retrieve the answer. As wild as it may sound, each emotion has it's own specific frequency. While the Emotion Code chart only has 60 emotions listed, they cover the entire range of (negative) emotions we experience. Don't be discouraged if the EXACT emotion you have felt does not come up. For example, you may describe what you feel as rage, but I, through muscle testing, identify anger. Think of rage and anger as different shades of the same color. The subconscious mind will direct me to the emotion that is closest to the vibrational energy of the emotion you feel, and that's how it will be identified and released.
So many things!
-We can target a specific emotion that describes how you frequently feel (anxious, depressed, angry, etc)
-We can target a specific event you are struggling with (death of a loved one, relationship struggle, a painful experience (past or present)
-We can target negative, recurring thoughts ("I'm a bad mom, "I'm not good enough", "I'm just an angry person", etc.)
-We can target pain in your body (frequent headaches, knee discomfort, etc.)
I've conducted sessions on what has limited creativity, a lack of sexual desire, a fight with a friend...there really is no limit to what we can address!
The answer will be different for everyone.
It really depends on how many issues or goals you wish to work on, and also on the volume of Trapped Emotions and imbalances you have related to each issue.
Some issues can be fully resolved in one session, others take multiple sessions.
Have you ever experienced hurt, grief or pain so deeply that you may have even felt physical discomfort in your chest, as if your heart was really breaking? While trapped emotions can lodge anywhere in your body, some feelings may have been so intense or difficult to process that they became trapped around your heart in an effort to protect you/your heart from experiencing such heartache again. Heart-Wall Emotions surround the heart, layer by layer, like an onion. While the protective defense mechanism may have initially been helpful, it can eventually result in difficulty experiencing positive emotions, deep connections to others, giving/receiving love, and so much more.
Please consider reading The Emotion Code book to learn more about the Heart-Wall and read testimonials of how its removal can profoundly impact lives (in the best ways!)
This will be different for everyone, and it may differ for you each session. Your mind and body will need a little time (24-48 hours) to process the released emotional energy.
Generally, most people feel much lighter at the end of a session, as if they can tangibly feel a burden has lifted. One session you may experience some fatigue or crying during or after, another session you may feel energetic and amazing...or you may just feel normal! It's important to stay hydrated during this time, as it helps our bodies adjust and re-balance.
